John Moore has served as the pulpit preacher for the Dripping Springs church of Christ since 2001.  He served for five years as the Bible Chair director at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he taught Bible courses for university credit. He has successfully conducted a number of foreign evangelistic campaigns to Jamaica, Trinidad and Singapore.  He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University (B.S., and M.Ed.) He has also studied in Israel at Jerusalem University College, where he earned the Certificate in Historical Geography.  He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is a frequent speaker at gatherings of Christian young people and is a speaker on lectureships throughout the brotherhood. In addition, he holds Gospel meetings each year and has served as co-editor of The Gospel Journal. In May 2001, brother Moore began full-time local work with the Dripping Springs congregation. He now serves as a part-time Southwest faculty member.  Brother Moore is married to the former Carla Garner and they are the parents of three sons, Jordan, Jacob, and Micah.
